Crypto 101 for Lawyers – May 21

The West Michigan Federal Court Association invites you to attend its Crypto 101 For Lawyers Program on May 21st at noon. The program will be held in the Jury Assembly room at the Grand Rapids federal courthouse with a Zoom option. The Zoom link will be sent out closer to the event date.

Anne Walton is a financial crimes expert with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance, complex investigations and analytical research. She works across cryptocurrency, illicit finance, and emerging financial technologies, with a focus on how systems adapt and where they fail. Anne is also the President of the Michigan Chapter of the Association for Women in Crypto (AWIC) and established the local chapter to build a cross-disciplinary professional network focused on ensuring Michigan keeps pace with the rapidly evolving digital and blockchain driven economy.

Will Conley is a Michigan-based attorney whose career has focused on issues involving emerging technologies, primarily blockchain and cryptocurrency. His practice spans commercial litigation, regulatory enforcement, product counseling, and corporate transactions involving digital assets.
